    If you enjoy working with team members whose defining characteristics are achievement, initiative, professionalism, responsiveness and adaptability, you may be the person we are seeking to join our Secretarial department, in Chicago, as an IP Patent Assigned Secretary.


    • Works directly with attorneys to provide word processing and administrative support
    • Document production, writing letters, memos and phone support
    • Preparation, filing and prosecution of foreign and US patent applications in the US Patent & Trademark Office
    • Making travel arrangements
    • Scheduling meetings
    • Monitoring e-mail, mail, photocopying and filing
    • Process billing and other accounting-related work as needed
    • Other projects and duties as assigned


    • 2-6 years IP Patent experience required
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Typing of 60 preferred
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and Powerpoint required
    • Basic grammar, punctuation and spelling skills required
    • Strong written and verbal skills required
    • Able to communicate professionally with legal staff, departmental staff and clients
    • Able to multi-task effectively
    • Able to work in a team environment with strong customer service focus
    • Must be deadline oriented
    • Strong organizational and time management skills required
    • Exhibit a highly professional approach when responding to requests and demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service support
    • Ability to lift or move up to 20 lbs.
