    The Client Pricing Lead Analyst is responsible for the development of creative and workable pricing solutions in response to client demands, that align fees with the value provided to and the objectives of the client, while remaining consistent with Firm’s strategy and profitability goals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the creation, evaluation, and execution of client fee arrangements with the objective of driving improvement in the Firm’s pricing outcomes and profitability
    • Undertake detailed financial analysis in relation to and in support of the development of pricing alternatives in response to client request/RFPs. Assess the profitability and market competitiveness of the various pricing options and provide related insight and recommendations to Partners, Client Pricing Manager and Global Director of Pricing Strategy and Legal Project Management
    • Apply business acumen and analytical skills to develop pricing solutions that meet both client and Firm objectives
    • Conduct detailed post matter financial analysis with the aim of utilizing historical matter data and related insight to assist in the pricing of future matters and improving financial performance
    • Develop and maintain budget templates and other tools for use by partners and Pricing and Legal Project Management team
    • Support the development of detailed competitor analysis and associated database and bring to bear in development of client fee arrangements
    • Work with Client Pricing Manager and broader Pricing & Legal Project Management team on the enhancements of tools and processes in relation to pricing, matter estimates, matter profitability, post matter analysis and competitor intelligence
    • Provide training in department tools and processes to the broader Pricing & Legal Project Management team, Business Development and other departments at the Firm. This position will share knowledge and serve as a coach/mentor to more junior members of the department

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree required in accounting, finance or business; post graduate degree preferred
    • 6 years post Bachelor’s Degree
    • Experience of working within professional services organization essential, preferably within a law firm
    • Advanced knowledge of MS-Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required. Experience using Microsoft SQL is highly desirable
    • Prior Experience with law firm technology including Aderant Expert and matter planning software is highly desirable
    • Experience in professional services pricing, negotiations and related areas is required
    • Demonstrate a broad and comprehensive knowledge of rate structures, discount arrangements and alternative fee arrangements
    • Strong analytical, evaluative and critical thinking skills
    • Able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals including partners, Firm Management, Business Development and Accounting personnel
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Self-motivated and proactive, with strong organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, including an ability to work across geographical borders
    • Ability to be flexible and to adapt quickly to change in a high pressure, deadline-driven environment
    • Ability to work on multiple assignments and proven experience in prioritizing work
    • Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
    • Occasional travel may be required
